SATURDAY NIGHT FORECAST UPDATE

Becoming cloudy.

Low: 15-22

12/15/24

Cloudy.

Snow/Rain is expected

to move in between

4-7PM for most of the area.

VIRGA might be an issue

in the beginning.

At 2-3pm, it may

show rain/snow on

radar for you. Especially

if you're located further west.

But it might not be

reaching the ground.

It's something

that needs to be watched.

Also, if you're located in

Eastern Berks or Lehigh

counties, it should

take a little bit for precip

to fill in down there.

As of now, 7-9PM looks

like a good start for you.

Who sees what?

Everyone north of I-78

will start out as SNOW.

As precip intensifies,

the ALL SNOW line

will creep further

south for a time.

So even if you're south

of I-78, you could see a

period of all snow.

But it won't last long.

You'll go back to rain.

When I mention south

of I-78, I'm referring to

Berks and Lebanon counties.

You can also

Include south of

Harrisburg in

Dauphin, too.

As for the Lehigh Valley,

this is predominantly

RAIN for you. Maybe

some wet flakes?
That's about it.

For Schuylkill and

points north,

you'll stay snow the longest.

Especially those

higher elevations of

Northumberland, Schuylkill,

Columbia, Carbon

and Luzerne counties.

By daybreak though,

whatever is still lingering

around will be in the form

of rain showers.

A gradual transition

from snow to rain

will occur overnight.

Valleys first; elevations last.

North of I-78
(lower elevations):

1 to 3 inches

North of I-78

(above 1,500FT)

2 to 4 inches

South of I-78

Temps will

rise into the 30's during

daylight hours.

They'll pretty much

stay in the same spot

throughout the night.

The reason for the

mix and changeover

to rain is because temps

are rising aloft. Once

they go above freezing

aloft, rain drops fall.

At ground level,

it could be 34 degrees

at your location at 5pm

and also at 5am,

BUT precip falling

from the sky will be

totally different.

showers early.

Areas of drizzle.

Increasing WIND

during the evening.

Temps will be

rising through

the 30's and into

the 40's. Highs

will not be achieved

until we approach

midnight.

Cloudy.
Rain showers.

By daybreak,

temps will range

from 48-53 degrees.

Mid-day temps

will range from 44-49

in elevations to

47-52 in the valleys.

Winds will gradually

decrease in the evening.

early afternoon.

Increasing clouds.

Becoming mostly cloudy.

Elevations: 45-50

Valleys: 48-53

Cloudy.

Rain showers

moving in

during the evening.

Temps max out

just after midnight

around 50-55

degrees. They

will gradually fall

throughout the night.

Along with the falling

temps, rain showers

will start transitioning

to snow showers.

Highest elevations

would see the

changeover first.

WINDY.

Temps by daybreak

will range from 32-38.

Temps falling

By sunset, temps

range from the upper

20's to lower 30's.
