A large area of precipitation formed early this morning. It dumped anywhere from 1-3 inches of rain across the county. We had 1.2" in Mahanoy City. It was definitely unexpected. The forecast only called for a 30% chance of storms. However, it was much needed rain. For the remainder of the day, only an isolated storm or shower is possible. We're hoping it goes partly sunny by late afternoon.
